Employers Location: Gdynia (Poland)
Job Location: Stavanger (Norway)
Contract Period: 1 Year (Possibility of extended tenure or permanent position dependant on performance)
Salary: 44,000-45,000 NOK per Month (Dependant on prior experience)

Job Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients to fully understand the operational requirements of the system.
- Translating customer needs / system requirements into robust system specifications.
- Designing and developing automated electro-mechanical drilling systems and tools.
- Developing functional prototypes.
- Testing and refining the functionality of prototypes.
- Collaborating with the manufacturing department to develop manufacturing process specifications.
- Generating and archiving all documentation concerning the design, development and manufacture of the automated electro-mechanical drilling systems and tools.

Desired Experience:
- 3-5 Years working experience as a Mechanical Engineer (or similar).
- Proven background with downhole drilling systems and tools development.
- Knowledge of electronic, automation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- A wide-ranging knowledge of auto-mechanical oil and gas design standards.
- Excellent CAD Skills (Inventor/ SolidWorks).

Basic Qualifications:
- University Degree: Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Desired Personal Qualities:
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
- Good team player with excellent communication skills

Other Information:
- Experience of designing or working on offshore drilling rigs is highly desirable.
